4But following their 3-0 win over Czechia this week, she posted a bold tweet to England and the rest of the nations jostling for the crown.
Despite the Mexicans not even knowing who they will face in the last-32 yet, she posted: “We’re going to win the World Cup.”
While Huppenkothen is probably just being a bit patriotic and optimistic, many in the comments took her very seriously.
One user wrote: “I know it’s hard not to get excited and carried away, but I think everything should have a dose of reality. The national team shut me up—and millions more—and I hope it keeps doing so. At least the next match will be very winnable.”

Another posted: “Please, Vanessa, don’t deceive the people of Mexico!”
And a third might not have even noticed what she wrote: “God, you are so stunning.”
The 41-year-old, who has over 2.3 million followers on IG, posted a picture of herself in a classy, figure-hugging black dress alongside the tweet.
She was born in Mexico City and the first major event she covered was the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

4But this isn’t her first World Cup after covering both the 2018 and 2022 iterations of it.
Sadly for those few hopeful fans, she is currently married.
