The Chase Viewers Erupt Over Bradley Walsh’s Unintentionally Naughty Gecko Question

It took just one unusual animal name to send The Chase viewers into fits of laughter.

During the latest episode, host Bradley Walsh managed to keep a remarkably straight face while asking contestant Liz a question about the “knob-headed giant gecko” — but once the answer was revealed, neither he nor the contestant could hold back their laughter.

The question was simple enough: “The knob-headed giant gecko is native to what continent?”

Liz correctly selected Australia, giving her the right answer. Bradley then asked whether she had ever seen one, prompting Liz to admit that she had not.

But the wording of the question proved far more entertaining than the quiz itself.

Viewers couldn’t resist the double entendre

Once the correct answer had been confirmed, Bradley and Liz both burst into laughter, while viewers watching at home quickly took to social media to share their amusement.

One viewer wondered how Bradley had managed not to start laughing while reading out the question.

Another joked about the unusual name, suggesting the answer was obvious from the moment the phrase appeared on screen.

The reaction was a reminder that even the most straightforward factual question can become hilarious when an unfortunate combination of words is involved.

And Bradley, known for his quick reactions and playful sense of humour on The Chase, somehow managed to maintain his composure long enough to get through the question.

Bradley Walsh had another celebrity mix-up

The amusing moment came shortly after Bradley found himself at the centre of another light-hearted joke.

Earlier in the same week, he appeared in a Twitter video with comedian Brian Conley, joking that people had mistaken him for Conley at the premiere of Conley’s new show 9 to 5.

“Everyone’s been coming up to me and going ‘Congratulations Brian, what a show,’” Bradley joked.

He then added that people had even been asking for photographs and telling him they had “loved” him in the “bondage kit”.

For The Chase viewers, the latest gecko question provided yet another example of Bradley’s ability to turn an ordinary television moment into something unexpectedly funny.

The Chase airs on ITV.
