A The Chase contestant left Bradley Walsh and Mark Labbett in stitches after delivering a perfectly timed one-liner about the classic Carry On films.
Student Scarlett found herself at the centre of Friday’s episode after being asked a question about the long-running comedy movie series, which was particularly popular from the 1950s through the 1970s and featured stars including Barbara Windsor.
The question asked: “Harry H. Corbett made his only Carry On appearance in what film?”
The options were Carry On Spying, Carry On Sergeant and Carry On Screaming!, with the latter being the correct answer.
Bradley high-fived Scarlett for her joke
After Mark, known as The Beast, confirmed the answer, he and Bradley began reminiscing about the film and some of its famous characters.
“That really did fall perfectly for me,” Mark said, recalling Corbett’s role as Inspector Knocker of the Yard.
“Inspector Knocker, yeah, Fenella Fielding, Kenny Williams,” Bradley added as the pair continued discussing the movie.
Mark then remembered one of Kenneth Williams’ famous lines, saying: “Frying tonight!”
Mark quoted the Carry On films but did not impress Scarlett
Bradley eventually turned to Scarlett and explained that they were talking about Carry On films.
Scarlett’s response was simple—but brutal.
“I’m sure it was funny at the time,” she quipped.
The remark immediately sent Bradley into hysterics.
The presenter burst out laughing and high-fived Scarlett, while the other contestants also struggled to contain their amusement.
“Good for you! Very good!” Bradley chuckled.

Scarlett’s quick comeback clearly won over Bradley, who later shook her hand at the end of the round.
“Congratulations, well done darling. Well played you, Scarlett,” he told her.
The exchange provided one of the episode’s funniest moments, as a simple question about an old comedy film turned into an unexpected clash between The Chase’s veteran stars and a contestant from a younger generation.
