Beat The Chasers delivered a dramatic celebrity special when not one but two famous contestants managed to defeat all five quiz experts and walk away with £50,000 each for charity.
Dom Joly and Gregg Wallace joined Brenda Edwards, Jake Wood and Krishnan Guru-Murthy as they attempted to beat Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis.
Only Dom and Gregg succeeded — and both victories came down to tense mistakes from the Chasers.
Dom Joly pulls off an unexpected £50,000 victory
Dom was among the first celebrities to take on the panel and opted to play for a huge £50,000.
His gamble paid off in dramatic fashion.
As the clock ran down, the Chasers became stuck on a question involving EastEnders. Their remaining seconds disappeared before they could recover, handing Dom the victory.
Realising he had just secured £50,000 for his chosen cause, Dom jumped in celebration.
“I did not see that coming. I’m just so happy!” he admitted.
He also acknowledged the disappointed Chasers, explaining that the money was going somewhere that genuinely needed it.
But the panel’s difficult night was far from over.

Later, Gregg Wallace stepped up hoping to raise money for the Matt Hampson Foundation.
Rather than taking a safer route, Gregg chose the £50,000 offer — meaning he would have to face all five Chasers.

Then, during the crucial final seconds, Mark Labbett stumbled over a question involving rituals.
That hesitation proved decisive.
The Chasers ran out of time, confirming Gregg had also won £50,000.
Confetti fell across the studio as a stunned Gregg shouted: “You’re kidding me!”
Bradley Walsh was equally impressed, telling the panel: “What a performance that was!”
Gregg later admitted that despite having watched the programme on television and seen contestants remain intensely focused, once he was actually standing there he barely knew what was happening around him.
By the end of the celebrity special, Dom Joly and Gregg Wallace had achieved something the other famous contestants could not — each defeating the formidable five-Chaser panel and securing £50,000 for charity.
