A fan has opened up about an incredibly personal gesture from Olivia Rodrigo, revealing that the pop star quietly helped cover more than $5,000 of her college tuition so she could complete her final semester.
Jamie Causey, a content creator and recent graduate of the University of Alabama, shared the story online this week after finally completing her degree. She said she had deliberately kept Rodrigo’s generosity private because she wanted the moment to remain personal rather than become a public spectacle.

But she said the gesture meant far more to her than simply having part of her tuition paid.

Causey explained that she intentionally chose not to reveal Rodrigo’s generosity immediately.
She wanted to finish school first and didn’t want something so meaningful to turn into a social-media spectacle.

After graduating, Causey finally felt comfortable sharing what had happened.
Speaking directly to Rodrigo, she expressed just how deeply the gesture had affected her.
