Meghan Markle blasted for ‘lacking common sense’ after controversial UK snaps

Meghan Markle was criticised by fans over her recent pictures from her summer holidays in Portugal and Britain. The Duchess of Sussex posted a series of photos from her family’s trip to Europe, offering glimpses of their time in Britain, which included a visit to Princess Diana’s resting place.
She travelled to the UK, with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to join Harry earlier this month when he came to the end of a week-long series of events promoting his Invictus Games. It was rumoured the duke would visit his uncle Charles at Althorp in Northamptonshire, the Spencer family’s ancestral home, to leave flowers at the grave of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who is buried on an island in a lake on the estate. It appears the Sussexes and their children may have enjoyed a break at Althorp, with one of the images posted showing Lilibet walking through formal gardens behind her brother and father in the distance.

But some fans were not impressed with the duchess posting a photograph of the private visit and took to social media to criticise her.
A user with the handle @RNN_RoyalNews, an account that regularly takes aim at the Sussexes, ,said on X: “That just makes it all so icky, leveraging her children and the memory of her deceased mother-in-law for clicks.
“Meghan just lacks common sense. She just can’t help herself and wanting to use family moments for exploitation.”
Another user blasted: “There is ZERO justification for this…outside of Meghan’s insatiable need for…clicks. Think about that.”
A third one said: “total cringe… using Diana again to get the public on side.”
A fourth one opined: “It’s awful. Typical exploiting Diana just to let everyone know they are still royal.”
Others defended the duchess and said she was simply sharing family moments rather than exploiting her royal links, with one user writing: “Your acting like they took them pictures and she added them to the as ever website for sale…w** is wrong with you people…yall need some type of theraphy.”
Other pictures showed the family enjoying their time in the pool and on the beach, as well as Meghan and Harry enjoying a meal together.
