Prince Harry will reportedly be offered a room at Buckingham Palace for his next visit to the UK, which is set to take place in September. The major olive branch comes just weeks after Harry’s return to the UK earlier this month, with the visit including Meghan Markle and their children joining him at a meeting with the King and Queen Camilla.

He was previously offered a room at Buckingham Palace for his visit at the start of July, but the offer was later revoked after it was accepted at short notice. The 41-year-old is set to return to the UK for a string of engagements in September, including an appearance at the annual WellChild Awards.

Sources have shared that Harry is set to accept the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace well in advance this time, The Sun reported.

It has previously been said that Harry has to give the Royal Household 28 days notice of his arrival in the UK.

Although they travelled to join him in the UK earlier this month, it remains unknown if he will be joined by Meghan and their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, when he returns in September.

Royal author Robert Jobson has shared that the offer from the King appears to suggest that the royal relationship with the Sussexes is “improving”.

He said: “Obviously there does appear to be a sense that it’s a gradual process and things are improving.”

Also speaking of Harry and his relationship with his father, Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, said: “Harry realises it is a very generous offer by his father and needs to respect that this time and be gracious about it.

“This is a chance perhaps for Harry to show his father he knows how to behave.”

Harry spent one week in the UK this month, with the royal having travelled back to the US with Meghan and their children on July 14. The exact date for this year’s WellChild Awards has not been released at the time of writing.
