A contestant on The Chase left viewers laughing after revealing a very unusual understanding of British geography — but somehow managed to use it to answer a question correctly.
Laura was the only contestant to make it through to the final round on Monday night’s episode, putting her in a strong position to take home £7,000.
But before she could reach the final, she had to answer one more question — and it was her explanation of how she would travel around Britain that became the real talking point.

Laura correctly picks Peppa Pig World
Laura was asked: “Which of these is an attraction in Hampshire?”
Her three options were Postman Pat Planet, Peppa Pig World and Tombliboo Town.
She chose Peppa Pig World, which was the correct answer.
However, the moment quickly became memorable because Laura had apparently visited the attraction before and described a rather unusual route she had taken to get there.
Her explanation left host Bradley Walsh questioning her grasp of the geography of northern England.
Bradley pointed out that the Lake District is further north than Blackpool, seemingly unable to understand how Laura had viewed the locations in relation to one another.
Rather than backing down, Laura responded with a line that immediately had the studio audience laughing.
“I get a nosebleed if I go past Guildford,” she joked.
Her admission made it clear that her knowledge of the roads and destinations north of Guildford was, to put it mildly, limited.

Viewers were equally confused
Laura’s geographical explanation quickly became one of the most entertaining moments of the episode, with viewers taking to social media to share their disbelief.
One viewer wrote: “The Lake District? I get a nosebleed if I go past Guildford? Frankly it’s all very bizarre #TheChase.”
Another simply described the episode as “baffling” television.
Others admitted that their own driving directions were probably no better, but still found Laura’s explanation particularly entertaining.
The exchange between Laura and Bradley quickly overshadowed the geography question itself, with viewers amused by the contestant’s confidence despite her apparent uncertainty about locations farther north.
Laura makes it to the final
Despite the geographical confusion, Laura proved herself to be a strong contestant throughout the episode.
She was the only player to reach the final round, giving her the chance to win the £7,000 prize.
However, her run ultimately came to an end during the final chase.
With just 30 seconds remaining on the clock, Laura was caught by the Chaser and was unable to take the money home.
Although she left without a cash prize, her memorable explanation about travelling beyond Guildford ensured that she gave viewers plenty to talk about.
