The Chase was thrown into chaos when host Bradley Walsh found himself in an awkward position after attempting to demonstrate a martial arts move during the ITV quiz show.
The presenter was joking with contestant Leon, who revealed that he practises Kung Fu, when Chaser Shaun Wallace warned the player he would “get the chop” during their head-to-head.
Bradley quickly challenged the comment, insisting there was no chopping involved in the martial art Leon practised.
But his attempt to prove his point quickly turned into one of the night’s funniest moments.

Bradley’s martial arts demonstration goes wrong
Bradley decided to demonstrate a high kick to the table in front of him.
However, instead of smoothly showing off his technique, the 59-year-old appeared to get his leg caught on the quiz table.
Feigning that he was unable to free himself, Bradley reached down towards his foot and jokingly called for help from the production crew.
He continued the gag while presenting Leon with his low and high offers, even squealing in mock pain as he pretended to remain stuck.
The bizarre interruption left the studio in fits of laughter and briefly sent the usual quiz-show format completely off track.
Leon, however, remained remarkably focused.
Despite Bradley’s antics, the martial arts fan delivered an almost flawless performance and managed to bring an impressive £40,000 back to the team.
Even better for Leon, he became the first contestant of the evening to successfully avoid being caught by his Chaser.
Leon makes a bold decision for his teammate
His teammate Jon was later offered a low offer of minus £10,000, which Bradley described as “unnecessary”.
Jon nevertheless accepted the offer.
Leon then gave his teammate some crucial advice, suggesting that Jon should consider sacrificing some of his potential winnings rather than risk leaving him to face the Chaser alone in the final.
Bradley was clearly impressed by the decision.
“What a player,” he said.
“Gotta say, Leon, I haven’t seen someone make a decision like that and offer that kind of advice for a long, long while.”
The pair eventually reached the Final Chase with £30,000 between them.
Unfortunately, their combined total of 16 steps wasn’t enough to keep Shaun at bay. The Chaser eventually caught them with 37 seconds still remaining.
Bradley also teases Shaun over his flirting
There was another amusing exchange between Bradley and Shaun earlier in the episode.
Contestant Mel was asked which Chaser she wanted to face and explained that she liked the way Shaun spoke.
Bradley appeared surprised by the compliment.
As Mel began explaining that Shaun was “very—”, Bradley jumped in with: “Soothing?”
“Oh, my God, yes!” Mel enthusiastically replied.
Bradley couldn’t resist teasing the Chaser when he appeared.
“Guess who it isn’t?” he joked. “It’s the smooth talker himself, the Lover of Lament.”
With Bradley turning a simple martial arts discussion into an impromptu comedy routine, the episode provided plenty of entertainment before the serious quizzing even got underway.
