The Chase Contestant Leaves Bradley Walsh Blushing After Cheeky ‘Fantasising’ Confession

A contestant on The Chase left host Bradley Walsh struggling to keep a straight face after making an unexpectedly cheeky confession about how she spends her retirement.

The hilarious moment came during Thursday evening’s episode of the ITV quiz show, which featured four contestants—Sandra, Selina, Mohsen and Jacob—taking on Irish Chaser Darragh Ennis.

Sandra was the second player to face Darragh, but before the questions began, Bradley decided to find out what she gets up to now that she has retired.

Her answer caught him completely off guard.

Sandra’s unexpected confession

When Bradley asked Sandra what she does in her retirement, she initially gave him a fairly straightforward response.

“I watch The Chase and read books,” she said.

But Sandra then added: “I fantasise. I have a nice time.”

The admission immediately left Bradley stunned, while the audience erupted into laughter.

The presenter appeared momentarily unsure how to respond before Sandra quickly made it clear that she was not suggesting she fantasises about him.

That prompted Bradley to fire back with a joke of his own.

“I knew you were going to be trouble Sandra, you’ve got the look in your eye,” he quipped.

The exchange quickly became one of the most memorable moments of Sandra’s appearance, with the audience continuing to laugh at her unexpected answer.

Sandra puts £5,000 in the bank

Once the introductions were over, Sandra turned her attention to the actual quiz.

She performed strongly in the Cash Builder round, managing to put £5,000 into the prize pot before facing Darragh.

The Irish Chaser then had the task of stopping her from taking the money through to the Final Chase.

Sandra put up a determined fight, but despite playing a good game and keeping the contest tight, she was eventually caught and eliminated from the show.

Her time on The Chase therefore ended without her reaching the final, but her retirement confession had already ensured she left a lasting impression on Bradley and the studio audience.

Darragh Ennis, meanwhile, remained in the hot seat as he attempted to prevent the contestants from taking money from the prize fund.

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
