A contestant on ITV’s The Chase apologised to her teammate after making a huge decision that could have changed the course of the game — but her gamble ultimately paid off.

Rachel, Patricia, Alex and Harry took on Paul Sinha, known as The Sinnerman, in the latest episode of the quiz show, with the team hoping to build a big enough prize pot to defeat the Chaser.
Harry from Lincoln was first into the spotlight and made an impressive start.
He answered enough questions correctly in his Cash Builder to accumulate £6,000, before facing The Sinnerman in the head-to-head round.
Harry successfully stayed ahead of the Chaser and returned to his teammates, putting £6,000 into the team’s prize fund.
Alex ignores the lower offer

Alex from Leicester was next to face the questions.
However, nerves appeared to get the better of him during his Cash Builder, where he managed just two correct answers.
The Sinnerman then attempted to persuade Alex to accept the lower offer of £1,000, which would have given him a greater chance of reaching the Final Chase.
Instead, Alex decided to stick with the £2,000 he had earned.
Bradley Walsh questioned the decision, suggesting Alex was trying to “redeem himself” after his difficult Cash Builder.
But the gamble did not work.
Alex was caught by The Sinnerman and left the show without any money.
Looking back on his decision, Alex admitted: “I should’ve heeded the advice.”
Bradley explained that the show involves much more than simply answering questions.
“That’s the thing about this show, people think it’s all about asking questions,” the presenter said. “It’s very, very tactical.”
Rachel shocks her teammate with £94,000 decision
Patricia from Hitchin was the next contestant to take on The Sinnerman.
She performed strongly in her Cash Builder, securing £6,000, but ultimately fell to the Chaser during the head-to-head and was eliminated.
That left Rachel from Northamptonshire as the final contestant hoping to strengthen the team’s prize fund.
She soon found herself facing a huge decision.
Rachel was offered the chance to play for an enormous £94,000, but Harry urged her not to take the risk.
“There’s no way you should take £94,000,” he told her.
Harry added: “It’s just there to tempt you.”
But Rachel had already made up her mind.
“I’m gonna have to do it, I’m gonna have to go for £94,000. Sorry Harry,” she said.
Despite her teammate’s concerns, Rachel went for the top offer.
Bradley Walsh appeared delighted by her attitude, describing it as “brilliant.”
“I wish more people would do that,” he said. “I think it’s great.”
Rachel’s gamble pays off
Rachel managed to outrun The Sinnerman and secure her place in the Final Chase.
Her successful gamble also sent the team’s prize pot soaring to an impressive £100,000.
Viewers watching at home were quick to praise her decision on social media.
One fan simply reacted: “Wow!”
Others wrote: “Very well done Rachel, good luck,” and “Nice to see a contestant go for the high offer and achieve it.”
Another viewer added: “Brilliant Rachel, and Harry wanted her to go low. I really hope they win.”
With Rachel and Harry now representing the team, the pair returned for the Final Chase with the chance to win the £100,000 prize.
Unfortunately, their impressive run did not end with victory.
The Sinnerman managed to catch their score with just 16 seconds remaining, bringing their time on the show to an end.
Rachel and Harry were ultimately sent home empty-handed, despite Rachel’s bold decision having successfully secured the huge prize pot.
