Bradley Walsh was left doubled over with laughter after Shaun Wallace gave a wildly unexpected answer to a question about King Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding on The Chase.
The presenter struggled to regain his composure during Wednesday’s episode after the Dark Destroyer confidently went for the wrong answer, turning an ordinary quiz question into one of the show’s funniest moments.
The blunder came during contestant Ryan’s head-to-head round, after the 24-year-old had endured a difficult start to the game.
Bizarre animal question leaves everyone laughing

Ryan had failed to answer a single question correctly during the Cash Builder, leaving him with no money to take into the head-to-head. But his fortunes appeared to improve when he was asked an unusually specific question about the royal wedding.
The question was: “What animal was reportedly used to lay cables around Buckingham Palace for the broadcast of Charles and Diana’s wedding?”
Ryan was given three possible answers: a mole, a ferret or a badger.

Amused by the unusual scenario, he laughed as he imagined a mole navigating its way through the palace with cables.
His reaction was enough to set Bradley off on a hilarious imaginary conversation with the animal workers.
“It’s not that, it’s seeing him come through the hole like, ‘Where do you want this, lads? Anyone got my gloves? Right, Baz, put that down… ma’am,’” the presenter joked.
Bradley Walsh’s ferret theory sends him into a meltdown
Ryan eventually settled on a ferret, insisting that the animals had previously been used for jobs of that kind.
Bradley, however, was not entirely convinced by the logistics.
“Do you know how big a cable is?” he asked, before suggesting that a string could be attached to the cable as a pull-through.
He then questioned whether a ferret could realistically manage such a task, joking that the animal would be gasping for breath after travelling just four feet.
Despite the absurdity of the discussion, Ryan had actually landed on the correct answer.
Unfortunately, Shaun Wallace failed to follow suit.
Shaun Wallace’s wrong answer sends Bradley over the edge
When it was the Chaser’s turn to answer, Wallace chose a mole rather than a ferret.
That was all Bradley needed to completely lose control.
The presenter doubled over with laughter before pointing out another problem with Wallace’s choice: moles have notoriously poor eyesight.
“Not only that, they’re blind! Where’s he taking that cable? Oi, moley, where you going with that?” Bradley quipped.
Ryan’s teammates could be seen wiping away tears of laughter as the presenter continued teasing the Chaser.
Even Wallace struggled to maintain his usual serious expression, eventually allowing a smirk to appear as Bradley poked fun at his mistake.
The Chaser gets the last laugh
Despite the hilarious blunder, Wallace ultimately had the final say in the contest.
The Dark Destroyer managed to catch Ryan during the head-to-head, eliminating the contestant from the game despite his correct answer to the unusual royal wedding question.
It was an unfortunate outcome for Ryan, who had briefly found himself at the centre of one of the episode’s most entertaining exchanges.
For Bradley, meanwhile, the bizarre question provided an opportunity to showcase the quick-witted humour that has helped make The Chase a favourite with viewers.
And while Wallace may have missed the mark on the history of royal wedding broadcasts, he still proved why facing a Chaser can be a formidable challenge—even when the questions involve moles, ferrets and unusually large cables.
