A Texas State University student was expelled after he was caught on camera re-enacting the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, mocking the tragedy in front of a horrified crowd.
The student, who has not been publicly identified, was seen in footage posted to social media spewing profanity toward members of a local chapter of Turning Point USA, a nonprofit that Kirk founded, on the school’s San Marcos campus Monday.
“Charlie Kirk got hit in the neck, bitch!” the student screamed, slapping his neck and imitating the recoil of a bullet’s impact.
The student then climbed up on a statue in front of the crowd, slapped his neck again, shook his body and dramatically slumped to the ground as if he was shot, the video showed.
The man then spat on the ground and sneered, “F–k that n—-r” before walking away from the crowd of stunned students.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbot reshared a video of the disturbing confrontation on social media, demanding the school expel the student “immediately.”
“Hey Texas State. This conduct is not accepted at our schools. Expel this student immediately. Mocking assassination must have consequences,” Abbott wrote on X.
Texas State University President Kelly Damphouse announced late Tuesday that the university took swift action to identify and expel the student after the call for consequences.
“The university has identified the student in the disturbing video from Monday’s event. I will not tolerate behavior that mocks, trivializes, or promotes violence on our campuses. It is antithetical to our TXST values,” Damphouse said in a statement.
“The individual is no longer a student at TXST. Federal law prevents the university from commenting further on individual student conduct matters.”
The incident comes as a Texas Tech student was arrested after she was filmed mocking Kirk’s assassination and harassing mourners at a vigil for the conservative influencer.
Camryn Giselle Booker, 18, was recorded jumping around and yelling at fellow students paying tribute to Kirk, screaming, “F–k y’all homie dead, he got shot in the head.”
Booker is then seen confronting a man in a red MAGA hat, who lets out a groan and says while panning to Booker, “Evil is real, people — and it kind of looks like that.”
Abbott later shared an image of Booker being handcuffed.
“This is what happened to the person who was mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination at Texas Tech,” he wrote.
“FAFO,” he added — an acronym for “F–k around and find out.”
Kirk, 31, had just answered a question from an audience member about mass shootings committed by transgender people during a Sept. 10 event at Utah Valley University when he was felled by a single shot.
The conservative influencer appeared to recoil in pain and grab at his neck as the shot rang out, sending thousands of spectators into a panic, dramatic video from the scene showed.
The alleged gunman was identified Friday as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah student who allegedly wrote, “Hey fascist! Catch!” on a bullet casing.
