The Chase’s Bradley Walsh Tells Jenny Ryan to ‘Get Your Game Together’ After Uncharacteristic String of Mistakes
Bradley couldn’t resist poking fun at professional quizzer Jenny on Thursday’s episode of the Chase
Bradley Walsh could not resist turning the tables on Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan after the normally formidable Chaser suffered an unusually difficult episode of The Chase.
Contestants Paul, Michael, Jason and Ceri arrived hoping to build a prize fund and survive their head-to-head rounds against Jenny. But instead of dominating the board as viewers might expect, The Vixen found herself making mistakes that gave Bradley plenty of ammunition.
The trouble became particularly noticeable when Ceri stepped up after earning £4,000 in her Cash Builder.
One wrong answer caught Bradley completely off guard
Jenny looked embarrassed after answering a question wrong
During Ceri’s head-to-head, Bradley asked which political magazine is known by the nickname “the Staggers.”
Jenny selected The Spectator.
Ceri chose The New Statesman — the correct answer.
Bradley immediately reacted with disbelief.
“What?!” he exclaimed before turning his attention to Jenny and declaring: “You’re having a shocker, love!”
Jenny appeared embarrassed by the mistake and attempted to explain herself, but Bradley wasn’t interested in letting the moment pass quietly.
Ceri ultimately survived the round and returned to the team for the Final Chase.
That should have been the end of Jenny’s difficult moment. Instead, Bradley continued teasing her.
“There’s no point talking to you,” he joked, before adding: “You should get your game together.”
Jenny’s difficult day wasn’t over
Contestant Ceri managed to beat Jenny in an intense round on Thursday’s show
The Vixen then faced Jason, who had accumulated £2,000 during his Cash Builder and decided to stick with that amount in his head-to-head.
Once again, Jenny failed to produce the commanding performance normally associated with one of The Chase’s professional quizzers.
Jason managed to escape and secure his place in the Final Chase as well, helped by further incorrect answers from Jenny.
It made for an unusual episode for a Chaser accustomed to putting contestants under enormous pressure.
This time, it was Bradley doing the needling.
Bradley turns Jenny’s mistakes into comedy
The exchange demonstrated one of the long-running show’s most entertaining dynamics.
Bradley frequently jokes with contestants and Chasers alike, and Jenny’s unexpected run of errors gave him an irresistible opportunity to poke fun at one of the show’s strongest competitors.
His reaction wasn’t a serious confrontation. Instead, the host repeatedly exaggerated his disbelief as Jenny attempted to recover from an unexpectedly rough performance.
For Ceri and Jason, however, Jenny’s mistakes proved extremely valuable.
Both contestants survived their encounters with The Vixen and earned places in the Final Chase — while Bradley made sure Jenny wouldn’t forget how they got there.
