Bradley Walsh was left struggling to continue The Chase after an unexpected mistake from Shaun Wallace sent him running across the studio in fits of laughter.

The hilarious moment unfolded as four contestants — Armin, Sally, Karen and Ryan — attempted to take on The Dark Destroyer for a chance to reach the Final Chase.

But it was 24-year-old Ryan’s head-to-head round that produced the moment Bradley simply couldn’t handle.

An Unusual Buckingham Palace Question

Ryan was asked which animal was reportedly used to help lay cables around Buckingham Palace for the broadcast of Charles and Diana’s wedding.

His three choices were a mole, a ferret or a badger.

Ryan selected ferret, prompting Bradley to joke about the idea of animals dragging cables through underground spaces. Ryan defended his answer, explaining that ferrets had been used for similar tasks.

Bradley remained unconvinced by the practicalities — until the correct answer appeared.

Ryan was right: it was a ferret.

Then Shaun’s answer was revealed.

Shaun’s Answer Sends Bradley Running

The Dark Destroyer had chosen mole.

Bradley immediately lost his composure.

Unable to contain his laughter at Shaun’s mistake, the presenter broke away from his position and darted across the studio while the contestants laughed along with him.

Karen was even seen wiping away tears as Bradley continued chuckling, while Shaun attempted to maintain a straight face throughout the reaction.

Bradley eventually returned to the game and pointed out the problem he saw with Shaun’s choice, joking about a mole’s poor eyesight.

Despite providing the answer that had sent the studio into hysterics, Shaun ultimately recovered.

He caught Ryan during their head-to-head, leaving Armin, Sally and Karen to face him in the Final Chase with £17,000 in the prize fund and a three-step head start.

The remaining contestants produced a strong performance, answering 18 questions correctly and giving themselves a genuine opportunity to defeat The Dark Destroyer.

For a while, it appeared Shaun’s earlier blunder might become an expensive one.

But with only seconds remaining, the Chaser caught the team and ended their hopes of taking home the £17,000.

Bradley may have had the biggest laugh of the episode — but when the game was over, Shaun still walked away with the victory.
