Bradley Walsh Left Red-Faced After Mocking The Chase Contestant’s Answer — Only to Discover She Was Right

Bradley Walsh found himself on the wrong side of a joke during a memorable episode of The Chase after confidently dismissing a contestant’s answer — only to discover moments later that she had been correct all along.
The presenter struggled to contain his laughter during the April 26, 2017 episode when contestant Barbara faced an unusually named set of possible answers.
She was asked which appropriately named actress played Pip Archer in BBC Radio 4 drama The Archers.
The three options were Heather Fox, Rose Squirrel and Daisy Badger.
One name immediately set Bradley off
Before Barbara had even given her answer, Bradley became amused by “Daisy Badger.”
He admitted he didn’t know why the name made him laugh, but his reaction continued when Barbara actually selected it as her answer.
Bradley was far from convinced.
He suggested that Daisy Badger was unlikely to be correct and instead reasoned that Heather Fox sounded more plausible, even drawing a connection with actress Emilia Fox.
Barbara, however, stuck with her choice.
Then came the reveal.
Daisy Badger was the correct answer.
Bradley immediately realised his confident prediction had spectacularly backfired.
The embarrassed host face-palmed before bursting into laughter again, eventually changing his assessment and joking that Daisy Badger was actually a terrific name.
Viewers loved Bradley’s mistake
The exchange quickly caught the attention of viewers, with fans joking about how easily the unusual answer had managed to send Bradley “over the edge.”
Some suggested the moment belonged in a compilation of the programme’s funniest scenes, while others compared his inability to keep a straight face with other famous occasions when unusual names or questions have caused him to lose composure.

The incident became another example of the unscripted humour that has helped make The Chase one of ITV’s most recognisable daytime quiz shows.
This time, however, the contestant got the last laugh.
Bradley had been so certain Barbara’s unusual-looking answer couldn’t possibly be right — only for the board to prove that Daisy Badger really was exactly the answer he had been laughing at.
