Bradley Walsh Collapses With Laughter Over Awkward Question on The Chase

Bradley Walsh completely lost his composure on The Chase after an innocent question about a 19th-century composer produced a combination of words he simply could not get through with a straight face.

The ITV presenter ended up doubled over at the game board and crying with laughter — while contestant Roger and Mark “The Beast” Labbett appeared considerably less amused.

One question immediately sets Bradley off

The moment came during Roger’s head-to-head round when Bradley was asked to read a question about composer William Crotch.

“19th century composer William Crotch was also famous as a player of what instrument?” Bradley read.

The three possible answers were oboe, bagpipes and organ.

Once Bradley saw the combination of the composer’s surname and the possible answers, he cracked.

“That is absolutely priceless,” he said as he struggled to contain himself. “Ah crikey that’s funny, hey Rog?”

Roger, however, remained remarkably unimpressed.

“Well it’s a little bit funny,” he replied.

Bradley ends up on the floor

Roger’s understated reaction did nothing to help Bradley recover.

The presenter continued laughing until he eventually collapsed towards the floor beside the game board.

Mark Labbett appeared similarly unmoved by the chaos and simply shook his head before submitting his answer.

Roger also managed to concentrate long enough to make his selection.

He chose “organ” — and it turned out to be correct.

That revelation gave Bradley another opportunity to make the moment even more awkward.

“Oh Billy Crotch plays with his organ,” he joked.

Roger keeps his cool

While Bradley struggled to pull himself together, Roger remained focused on the actual competition.

His correct answer allowed him to continue his attempt to escape The Beast and return to his teammates.

Viewers watching at home were far more entertained by Bradley’s reaction than Roger appeared to be.

Fans joked that the presenter had once again been defeated by a question that struck him as unintentionally suggestive, with one telling him to “pull it together”.

It became another memorable example of Bradley’s tendency to lose control when an innocent quiz question takes an unexpectedly awkward turn — even when everyone else on the set is trying to carry on as normal.
