The Chase Contestant Cracks Up Over Question Bradley Walsh Somehow Delivers With a Straight Face

A contestant on The Chase struggled to contain his laughter after being confronted with an unusually cheeky set of answers during his battle against Shaun Wallace.
The memorable moment came during an episode aired on February 21, 2024, as teacher Andie stepped up to face The Dark Destroyer.
Bradley Walsh asked him about the examination taken by school leavers in France, before revealing three possible answers: “le bac”, “le crac” and “le sac”.
While Bradley somehow maintained a straight face, Andie immediately saw the funny side of the options and began laughing.
The moment quickly caught viewers’ attention, with some describing it as one of the funniest questions they had seen on the ITV quiz show. Others were equally amused that Bradley — who is well known for occasionally losing control over strangely worded questions — managed to deliver this particular one without cracking up himself.
Andie Takes the Low Offer

Earlier, Andie had managed £3,000 during his Cash Builder. When it came time to face Shaun Wallace, however, he opted for the lower offer of £1,000.
The decision prompted some criticism from viewers, but Andie successfully returned to the team.
Eventually, all four contestants made it through to the Final Chase with a combined prize fund of £13,000.
Their full team was not enough to overcome Shaun, however. The Dark Destroyer caught them with 42 seconds remaining, bringing their attempt to take home the money to an end.

Despite the defeat, it was Andie’s inability to keep a straight face during one particularly mischievous multiple-choice question that became the episode’s standout moment.
