Bradley Walsh Reduced to Tears of Laughter Over Contestant’s Answer on The Chase

Bradley Walsh has become famous for losing control of The Chase whenever an unexpected question catches him off guard — but one classic moment left him laughing so hard he could barely continue the show.
The memorable exchange began when Bradley was required to read what appeared to be a perfectly ordinary sports question.
“In what sport does Fanny Chmelar compete for Germany?”
Bradley initially managed to finish the question, but the athlete’s name quickly proved too much for him.

After trying to suppress his laughter, Bradley finally cracked.
The more he attempted to continue, the worse it became. His reaction soon had the contestant and studio audience laughing along with him, while Chaser Anne Hegerty also appeared to struggle to maintain her composure.
At one point, Bradley was laughing so hard that tears could be seen in his eyes.
Still unable to move past the name, he jokingly suggested that the show should introduce a new rule preventing him from ever having to say it again.
He then joked that if it were his own name, he would be heading to court the following morning to have it changed.
The Contestant Still Had a Question to Answer

Amid all the laughter, there was still a quiz question waiting to be completed.
The contestant ultimately chose the wrong answer, but by then the result had almost become secondary to Bradley’s extraordinary reaction.
The clip later resurfaced online and was shared by ITV, attracting more than 4.8 million views at the time of the report.
Viewers described Bradley’s desperate attempts not to laugh as one of the funniest parts of the sequence, with others admitting the clip had them laughing to the point of tears.
Years after the original episode, the moment remains a memorable example of what can happen on The Chase when a seemingly straightforward question completely derails Bradley Walsh.
