'Excellent' crime thriller on Netflix hailed 'most underrated movie of all time'
The Hollywood blockbuster is a must for anyone who loves action icon Bruce Willis

Action movie fans can’t afford to miss out on this overlooked thriller streaming on Netflix now. Striking Distance came out in 1994 with Die Hard’s Bruce Willis in the lead role as ex-homicide detective Tom Hardy, who finds himself facing off against a serial killer called the Polish Hill Strangler.
Tom believes that the Polish Hill Strangler may have murdered his father. The movie sees Tom losing his father and his cousin under tragic circumstances as they tried to chase a suspect whom they believed was the serial killer. This tragedy leads Tom to turn to alcoholism in his grief, and he is demoted.

He is then assigned a new partner Jo Christman (Sarah Jessica Parker) as the pair start to investigate the serial serial killer after new victims turn up.
Along with Willis and Sex And the City star Parker, Striking Distance also starred Manhunter’s Dennis Farina and Tom Sizemore from Saving Private Ryan and Heat.
The movie was filmed in various locations across Pittsburgh and was originally titled Three Rivers, before being changed to Striking Distance.
Striking Distance has received strong reviews on IMDb as one person posted in their review: “ Bruce Willis and Sarah Jessica Parker were excellent together and the supporting cast was also outstanding.”
A second person posted in their review: “Not Your Ordinary Action Film, Very Underrated.”
The reviewer noted: “More than any film I can remember in a long time, I have never understood why this film hasn’t gotten higher ratings than it has.”
They concluded: “I would still say that the film is well worth watching when your in the mood for some escapist fun and action fare.”
