A confident contestant on The Chase learned the hard way that insulting Shaun Wallace before facing him might not be the smartest strategy.
Romzan had barely begun his appearance on the ITV quiz show when he told host Bradley Walsh exactly which Chaser he wanted to face — Shaun Wallace. His reason immediately caught everyone’s attention: he considered the Dark Destroyer the “worst Chaser.”
Shaun would soon get the opportunity to respond.

Romzan appeared alongside Mapaseka, Sophie and Martin as the four contestants attempted to build a prize pot.
He made a promising start, correctly answering five questions during his cash-builder round. But when it was time to discover which Chaser would stand between him and the money, Romzan got his wish.
Shaun walked out.
Rather than ignore the earlier remark, the veteran Chaser immediately turned it back on his opponent.
“It’s your worst nightmare to play the worst player,” Shaun told him before their head-to-head began.
Romzan’s confidence did not last long.

Shaun defeated him in the round and wasted little time delivering another swipe. He repeatedly told the contestant to “get off” before declaring to Bradley that he had just faced the “worst player” he had ever played against.
Even as Bradley attempted to speak to Romzan, Shaun continued telling him to leave.
“You still here? Get off!” he said.

Romzan was not the only member of the team to struggle against the Dark Destroyer.
Mapaseka, Sophie and Martin also failed to make it past Shaun, leaving the Chaser having eliminated the entire team.
But even after the competition was effectively over, Shaun had not forgotten Romzan’s opening insult.
As the cameras returned to the contestants and Chaser, Shaun singled Romzan out once again, questioning why he was still there.
His final instruction was blunt: “Jog on.”
The exchange turned Romzan’s confident introduction into a running joke throughout the episode, with Shaun repeatedly using the contestant’s own “worst Chaser” remark against him.
It was a particularly memorable example of the confrontational banter that has long been part of Shaun Wallace’s Dark Destroyer persona on The Chase — and on this occasion, the contestant who started the exchange ended up giving Shaun the final word.
