Maggie’s bold strategic move helped set up a dramatic Tribal Council, but the fallout could leave her fighting for survival. While Lewis Kelly has gained a powerful ally in Danny Kilby, their loyalty may not be enough to protect them on the new Dina tribe

Survivor 51: Who Holds the Power and Who Is in Danger Heading Into Episode 6?

With only 14 castaways remaining, the battle for control in Survivor 51 is becoming increasingly tense. Maggie Nestor’s latest strategic move, carried out by Lewis Kelly and Danny Kilby, has shifted the balance of power and left several players facing uncertain futures.

“Not Here to Get a Pedicure” – This week’s Immunity Challenge comes with double jeopardy when two tribes face tribal council. The Open Era continues its promise when one player receives a never-before-seen advantage. Then, two tribal councils deliver high drama – with tears and a shocking standoff, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Oct. 21 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT). Photo: Robert Voets/CBS ©2026 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. The fallout from the previous Tribal Council could be especially significant in Episode 6. Danny was willing to risk a tie and go to rocks to protect Lewis, but the Savu majority on the newly formed Dina tribe refused to take the same risk for Linnea Capobianco. Linnea was ultimately voted out in a verbal vote, exposing a clear difference in how far the players were willing to go for their allies.

That decision followed another major development: the Helicopter Alliance held together on the original Savu tribe and voted out Alexis Levine by a 3–1 margin. Now, with the alliance reduced to three members, its remaining players may have to turn against one another if the tribe loses again.

A merge does not appear to be on the immediate horizon, meaning another challenge loss could leave vulnerable players scrambling to survive. Here are the three castaways in the strongest positions after Episode 5, along with three who could be in serious trouble in Episode 6.

The Three Most Powerful Players After Episode 5

1. Angelica “Jelly” Loblack

Survivor 51

With Savu down to just three members, Jelly could soon become the deciding vote in a battle between her two remaining allies, Devin Way and Ori Jean-Charles.

Both men have previously indicated that they are unwilling to betray Jelly, giving her considerable influence over the tribe’s next decision. Ori is expected to target Devin, while Devin is likely to target Ori. If those opposing plans hold, Jelly could determine which of the two stays in the game.

Her position may become even more important if Savu loses immunity again and must return to Tribal Council. With the numbers so tight, Jelly has an opportunity to shape the outcome rather than simply follow someone else’s plan.

2. Lewis Kelly

Survivor 51

Maggie’s decision to use the extra votes helped orchestrate a major move, but it also placed a target on both Lewis and Danny Kilby. Danny may attract more of the backlash, however, leaving Lewis in a potentially stronger position.

Lewis emerged from Tribal Council with a close ally who had demonstrated a willingness to stand by him under pressure. That kind of loyalty could prove valuable as the game progresses, particularly if other players begin looking for trustworthy partners.

If advantages become important in future votes, Lewis could also benefit from his relationships and growing knowledge of the game. Players may be willing to share information or advantages with him in exchange for his support, potentially giving him influence beyond his current tribe.

3. Carter Krull

Survivor 51

Carter remains in possession of the immunity idol that Rob Antonson gave him when he quit the game. That advantage gives Carter protection and flexibility as the game’s alliances continue to shift.

He was also the only player to mutiny, and he ultimately found himself on the right side of the vote at Toka. Those developments leave him in a potentially useful position when the tribes eventually merge.

Rather than being locked into a single alliance, Carter could have room to work with different groups while keeping his idol as a safeguard. If the game opens up in the coming episodes, that combination of flexibility and protection could make him a valuable potential swing vote.

The Three Players Most at Risk Heading Into Episode 6

1. Maggie Nestor

Survivor 51

Maggie’s strategic move may have helped Lewis and Danny, but giving away the extra vote she obtained through Brady Booker could have serious consequences for her own game.

Brady now appears to view Maggie as a primary target, particularly because her actions conflict with his original plan of keeping the former Toka players united after the tribe swap.

Although Maggie has secured the loyalty of Lewis and Danny, both men are now near the bottom of the new Dina tribe. Their support may not be enough to protect her if the opposing majority decides to act.

As a result, Maggie faces pressure on two fronts: her relationship with Brady and her position within the new tribal structure. The move that strengthened her allies could leave her increasingly exposed.

2. Danny Kilby

Survivor 51

Danny’s willingness to stand by Lewis at Tribal Council demonstrated his loyalty, but it may also have damaged his standing with the former Savu players on Dina.

Unlike a quiet show of support, his readiness to risk everything for a former Toka ally made his priorities clear. Other players may now view him as a dangerous opponent who could disrupt their plans if given the opportunity.

That reputation could make it harder for Danny to build new relationships or find room to maneuver in future votes. If players believe he will always prioritize Lewis and Maggie, they may be reluctant to trust him with information or include him in their plans.

For now, Danny’s strongest connections appear to be Lewis and Maggie. If that small group remains on the bottom, his loyalty could become a liability rather than an advantage.

3. Devin Way

Survivor 51

Devin faces a difficult situation as the Helicopter Alliance shrinks to its final three members: Devin, Jelly and Ori.

If the alliance is forced to vote internally, Devin could find himself on the wrong side of the numbers. Jelly and Ori appear to be growing closer through their shared interests outside the game, which could give their relationship an advantage over her connection with Devin.

That makes Jelly’s decision especially important. She previously held firm in her loyalty to the alliance when Alexis was voted out, but the dynamics may now be different with only three members remaining.

If Jelly ultimately chooses Ori over Devin, the alliance could break apart at Devin’s expense. Unless the tribe dynamics change before the next vote, he may have little room to recover.

A Crucial Episode Ahead

Episode 6 could test whether the remaining alliances can survive the consequences of the previous Tribal Council. Jelly has the potential to decide the fate of the Helicopter Alliance, Lewis may benefit from Danny’s loyalty, and Carter’s immunity idol gives him options that other players lack.

Meanwhile, Maggie, Danny and Devin all face different threats that could leave them vulnerable if their allies turn away from them.

Without a merge to reset the game, the next tribal challenge could determine which alliances remain intact—and which players are forced to fight for their place in Survivor 51.
