Reported True Reason Behind Harry and Meghan’s UK Return Tied to Netflix Diana Documentary Rather Than Schooling
The underlying motivation behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s high-profile return to the United Kingdom is reportedly linked to an ambitious media initiative rather than family schooling or domestic reconciliation. Speaking on Talk TV, Mail on Sunday editor-at-large Charlotte Griffiths revealed that the couple’s relocation aligns with an upcoming Netflix project in which the Duke of Sussex is exploring a deeply personal documentary centered on the life and legacy of his late mother, Princess Diana.
Griffiths noted: “It does explain, at long last, why they have come over to the UK. We have all been wondering and thinking it — it can’t just be the education of their kids, it can’t just be the King — there’s always an agenda with the Sussexes. So this would make a lot of sense.”
With August 2027 marking the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s tragic death in Paris, Harry is understood to be seeking the “most meaningful way” to mark her enduring impact, reportedly approaching Diana’s close confidants and maternal relatives to participate, including his uncle, Earl Charles Spencer.
However, in his recently published memoir Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, Earl Spencer indicated he deliberately chose the written word over appearing as a “talking head” in planned television retrospectives, expressing concern over potentially flawed editorial agendas driven by commercial producers.
