Extraterrestrial beings are real and have contacted humans on Earth. This is the assertion of Edgar Mitchell, a former leading NASA astronaut and the sixth man to walk on the moon.
Mitchell, 77, who landed on the moon aboard Apollo 14 in 1971, made these shocking claims in an interview on the popular British radio station Kerrang!
According to Mitchell, extraterrestrial beings are real but have been kept secret by the US government for over 60 years. Mitchell says he is exposing a conspiracy to keep the existence of aliens a secret.
The former NASA astronaut said he knew of many UFO visits to Earth during his years at NASA, but all of them were covered up.
The 77-year-old man claims NASA has contacted extraterrestrials, describing them as “tiny humans who looked at us strangely.”
According to Mitchell’s description, the aliens were small in stature, with large eyes and heads.
Mitchell says the aliens looked exactly as filmmakers imagined: small bodies, large eyes and heads.
“There’s no doubt that life exists throughout the universe. We are not alone. I can confirm that.”
“Can we pinpoint where those planets are? No, certainly not in the Solar System. But we can identify some planets where life exists.”
According to Mitchell, human technology is not as sophisticated as the aliens’, and that humans might no longer be on Earth if they were hated by the aliens. “They are not harmful and not hostile to humans.”
Mitchell, along with Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, currently holds the record for the longest moonwalk, lasting 9 hours and 17 minutes in 1971.
In an interview, he said: “Aliens have visited Earth and UFOs are real… That’s been kept secret by all governments for the last 60 years, but it’s gradually leaking out.”
“I’m among the press and military officials who know the truth behind what the public knows, which is that Earth has been visited by aliens. Reading the news recently, I’ve seen that it’s happened quite a lot.”
“This is just the beginning of the process of making things public. I think we’re moving toward lifting the veil of secrecy and some serious organizations are working toward this.”
Mitchell has a degree in aerospace engineering and a PhD in aeronautics and space travel. He asserted that the Roswell UFO “landing” on Earth in 1947 was real and that similar alien visits would continue to be investigated.
The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) issued a statement saying they disagreed with Mitchell’s comments.
NASA officials said they do not track UFOs and are not involved in concealing the truth. A spokesperson added: “Dr. Mitchell is a great American, but we do not share his views on this matter.”
