THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SUDDEN HIATUS! ARIANA GRANDE CALLS ‘ETERNAL SUNSHINE’ TOUR A ‘HEALING EXPERIENCE’ BEFORE TEMPORARILY LEAVING THE SPOTLIGHT: A FIERCE RESPONSE TO HER SHOCK BREAK ANNOUNCEMENT!

Ariana Grande Describes ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Tour as a “Beautiful Corrective Experience” Ahead of Planned Hiatus

As Ariana Grande approaches the final dates of her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine tour, the pop superstar is reflecting on how the global trek fundamentally shifted her relationship with live performance—and her fans—before she embarks on a self-imposed hiatus.

In a candid new appearance on Broadway star Jessica Vosk’s YouTube series Vosk in the City, Grande described the summer tour as a “beautiful corrective experience,” drawing a sharp contrast to the emotional headspace she occupied during her 2019 Sweetener World Tour.
A Clearer Vision, Both Figuratively and Literally
For Grande, returning to the stage in 2026 allowed her to engage with her audience from a place of grounded presence.

“Doing this tour has felt like such a beautiful corrective experience for me because I think on my last tour, I wasn’t necessarily in the same place in life,” Grande told Vosk. “I wasn’t able to be as present as I am this time.”
The singer noted that her ability to connect with the crowd was also hindered during her last tour by a very literal barrier: she didn’t wear contact lenses. This time around, she explained, being able to physically see her fans—many of whom dressed up referencing “strange niche jokes” from her 13-year career—deepened the emotional resonance of the shows.
“To be able to literally… actually see and connect and feel… to connect with them in this way just to sing these songs that have been a part of our relationship for 13 years at this point,” she reflected, calling her bond with her fanbase a “very long-term relationship.”
Stepping Back on Her Own Terms
Grande’s reflections arrive just weeks after she confirmed plans to step away from the public eye once the Eternal Sunshine tour concludes its final leg in London this September. The planned break also resulted in her withdrawing from a previously announced starring role opposite Jonathan Bailey in the West End revival of Sunday in the Park With George, slated for summer 2027.
While initial speculation suggested the hiatus was triggered by ongoing online scrutiny regarding her appearance and personal life, Grande vehemently denied the rumors during a recent tour stop in Chicago. Speaking directly to the crowd, she clarified that the break was a boundary she set long ago from a “thoughtful and empowered place.”

“I heard that my fans were worried that negativity was ruining things for me, but I just have to say that could not be more the f—ing opposite,” Grande assured the audience. “Human beings can need a break sometimes. And also, this can be and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life.”
Refusing to let online noise overshadow her achievements, she added: “The rest of that s— is not mine to carry, so I don’t carry it… this tour has been the most healing, beautiful, corrective, magnificent, special experience of my life.”
