Justin Herbert is gushing over his fiancée, Madison Beer.
SiriusXM NFL Radio caught up with the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, 28, over the weekend during Chargers Training Camp in El Segundo, Calif., just days after he announced his engagement. Former NFL player Isaac Rochell, 31, asked the groom-to-be how it feels to be at training camp with the support of Beer, 27, to which Herbert replied that he’s found his forever teammate.
“It’s hard to explain. It’s been so incredible,” he said. “She’s changed my life, and it’s something I never thought was possible. It’s so awesome to find your person and to be able to spend your life with them. I’m excited and just can’t wait. She’s the best.”

Rochell joked that that was the “longest media answer” Herbert has ever given. Herbert is known for having a reserved demeanor off the field, but he smiled and said that the question about Beer was “the first good question” he’s been asked.
Co-host Jacob Hester added that it was great to see Herbert have “somebody to share the journey with.” Herbert agreed, saying, “It’s the best. It’s what I’ve always dreamed of. And to have someone that I can share everything with and live with and trust completely, there’s no better feeling.”
The NFL star announced his engagement to the “Reckless” singer in a joint post on Instagram on Tuesday, July 28. “Meet my fiancé,” Beer captioned a series of photos and clips of the romantic outdoor proposal.
The next day during Chargers Training Camp, Herbert’s head coach, Jim Harbaugh, shared marriage advice for the soon-to-be bride and groom.

“To attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind together,” he said on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams.
Harbaugh, 62, noted that he’s confident Beer is the one because Herbert “lights up when he talks about her.” He remembered, “When she started coming around, everyone raved about what a nice person she is.”
At the time, Herbert told the team that he planned to propose “sometime this summer,” and they celebrated with “a nice high five.”
