Rapper ‘Lil Toonk’ arrested in Lamar County for murder charges out of Metro Atlanta
LAMAR COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — A Georgia rapper was arrested on multiple felony murder charges in Lamar County late Saturday night.
The sheriff’s office says Tavorian Lindsey, also known as “Lil Toonk,” was taken into custody for an outstanding homicide warrant out of Fulton County.
Lindsey was set to perform live at Club Rendezvous on Crawford Road in Barnesville Saturday night, according to his social media page.
During the arrest operation, Lamar and Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigators recovered multiple firearms, including rifles and a handgun, along with “additional evidence.”Lindsey was immediately turned over to Fulton County deputies at the scene. Jail records show the Lithonia native was charged with six counts of felony murder, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal attempt to commit a felony and possession of a firearm or knife during or an attempt to commit certain felonies for an incident on May, 6 2024.
Lil Toonk’s management label, Youngguns Entertainment, issued a statement on social media in response to his arrest, sharing that they were “unaware of the situation” and “working closely with legal counsel.”
In a statement, Lamar County Sheriff Brad White praised the “teamwork and professionalism” of law enforcement during the operation.
“The successful apprehension of this homicide suspect is a direct result of the strong partnership between our agencies and the dedication of the men and women who serve our communities every day,” said White. “We are proud to assist our law enforcement partners in bringing violent offenders into custody safely.”
