Destiny’s Child to release new music ‘in the next 30 days’, Beyoncé’s dad says
Destiny’s Child fans won’t have to hold their breath for much longer as they await new music from the iconic girl group.
Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé’s father and the group’s former manager, revealed to SiriusXM’s “Page Six Radio” that unheard remixes from the women will be released within the “next 30 days.”
“We’re about to market a bunch of new remixes, some you’ve never heard before,” he said in the July 22 interview.
“We have a number of remixes that have never been released, and we’ll be putting those out soon,” he continued. “We have some guest rappers on it, but it’s the girls on them. And then there’s some that are dance mixes, and then there’s some that are just regular urban mixes. So there’s a combination. We have so much music that hadn’t been put out yet on Destiny’s Child.”
He identified one of the guest rappers as Missy Elliot, but then stopped before he could mention any more.
“Ah, I’ll stop,” he confessed.
It’s unclear if the remixes will be released in an album format. The group’s last album was 2004’s “Destiny Fulfilled.”
Just last week, the official Instagram account for the group celebrated the 27th anniversary of their sophomore album “The Writing’s on the Wall.”
“Receipts were kept. Rules were written. Classics were made. Celebrating ‘The Writing’s on the Wall,’ released on this day in 1999,” the caption read.
However, 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of the group’s debut single, titled “No, No, No.” At that time, the group consisted of four members: Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett. In 2000, Roberson and Luckett were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. Shortly after, Franklin left the group and Destiny’s Child went on to be known as a trio consisting of Queen Bey, Rowland and Franklin. They officially disbanded in 2005 and pursued solo careers.
They have reunited for Beyoncé’s Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show, 2015’s Stellar Awards to perform Williams’ gospel song “Say Yes,” Bey’s 2018 Coachella appearance and the final night of her “Cowboy Carter” Tour at Las Vegas’s Allegiant Stadium in July of 2025.
