Princess Beatrice received a sweet birthday tribute from her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter turned 38 on Saturday, Aug. 8, and her husband celebrated with an Instagram carousel of pics and a glowing caption.
“Happy Birthday to my phenomenal, beautiful wife,” he wrote. “We love [you] so much. You make our world 🌎.”
He signed the note from him and their children using their first initials, plus Beatrice’s birth date: “Love E,W,S,A xxxx 🩷🩷🩷 8.8.88.”
The photos alternate between formal and casual, with a selfie from the June 6 wedding of Beatrice’s cousin, Peter Philips, who tied the knot with Harriet Sperling on a rainy day in Gloucestershire. In the pic, Edo, 42, can be seen holding an umbrella as Beatrice sits in the car.

Beatrice announced her engagement to the Italian-born aristocrat in September 2019, and they tied the knot the following year. The couple shares two daughters, Sienna, 4, and Athena, 1, and the princess is also a stepmother to 10-year-old Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, her husband’s son from a previous relationship.
Edo recently shared some rare comments about their family life in a Q&A with Gentleman’s Journal.
Asked to name his “perfect holiday,” he responded, “Getting off the beaten track, disconnecting from emails and news and spending time with my family.”
He also named “travel and time with family” as his biggest luxury and “time with family and friends” as his ideal way to relax.

The rare interview comes a few months after reports of marital strife between the royal couple.
In March, The Mail on Sunday reported that a “distance” had grown between Beatrice and Edo amid fallout from the scandals linking Beatrice’s parents, the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, to Jeffrey Epstein.
“Things haven’t been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through,” a source told the Mail. “She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Just when she needs him most, he’s been pulling away.”

A source close to the couple dispelled the rumors, exclusively telling PEOPLE at the time that any rumors about marriage trouble between Beatrice and Edo were “complete nonsense.”
Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and Ferguson has not been accused of any. However, they were stripped of their royal titles and property in the fallout of the release of the Epstein files. Then, in February, the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, related to a claim that he shared confidential information with Epstein during his time as a trade envoy for the U.K.
Following the arrest, a source told PEOPLE that Beatrice and her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, hoped to “stay away” from the controversy surrounding their parents for the sake of their own growing families.
“They have young children, and this is their grandfather — their focus is on protecting their own children from this,” the insider said.
