Prince Harry was forced to see Queen Camilla last week at his reunion with his father, it has been claimed. The Duke of Sussex, who hasn’t always been complimentary about his stepmother, reunited with their majesties last Friday at Highgrove House.

While over the last few years Harry has seen his father alone, this time the duke brought his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with him. Although Harry had been in the UK for almost four days by the time of the reunion, Harry’s wife and children had only flown in that day to spend a very short period of time in Britain, due to the Sussexes’ concerns over security.

Although it is believed Harry, 41, may not have been expecting to see his stepmother at such a meeting, one royal author said Queen Camilla’s presence at the royal reunion – which happened in private – was “non-negotiable” and had to be accepted by Harry.

Royal author Catherine Mayer told PEOPLE: “She is a non-negotiable part of Charles’ life.

“There is no reconciliation with him without her.”

While Harry had last seen his father in September, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet reportedly had not seen the King since 2022.

It is believed the family reunion last Friday was kept very private, with Camilla dropping everything to be with her husband for the meeting, which reportedly lasted just over an hour.

Camilla was reportedly staying at her private Ray Mill House estate when she was told about the meeting and drove to Highgrove to be with the King for “moral support”.

A source told Vanity Fair: “Charles wanted Camilla to be there for moral support and because she has been a pillar of strength for him throughout all the drama with Harry, and she dropped everything.

“She told no one, not even her family. She just got in the car and headed over. They were all on a mission to keep the meeting as watertight as possible.”

No information or photographs from the family reunion have been shared. No other royals were present either.

This included Prince William and Princess Catherine, who were in Windsor at the time as William took part in a charity polo match.
