MARTIN ODEGAARD led the whole of Norway with their “Viking row” following their 3-2 World Cup win over Senegal.
The players and backroom staff sat in position on the pitch, facing thousands of fans in the MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.
As the Arsenal skipper banged on the drum, each Norwegian pulled their invisible oar back and forth in time with everyone else.
As the drum sped up, the rowers did too, until cheering and celebrating erupted from the pitch and stands.
Norway’s talisman Erling Haaland was perched front and centre of the celebrations on the pitch with a grin from ear to ear.
The Man City striker scored two goals against the 2026 Afcon finalists, who look to be nearly out of the World Cup entirely.
Senegal succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against France following a brace from golden boy Kylian Mbappe.
They will now look to claim three points from Iraq in their final group game, but even that may not be enough to see them through to the round of 32.
Meanwhile, Haaland – with four goals from two games – has sent his nation through to the next phase.
The 25-year-old now has twice as many World Cup goals than any other Norway player ever with 52.

Ismaila Sarr recovered a goal as Senegal saw a glimmer of hope.
But it wasn’t long before Haaland reclaimed the lead with a smooth volley which went in off the bar.
Injury time proved a little tense after Sarr fired another into the back of the net.
But it was not the day for the Crystal Palace winger, who missed out on an equaliser, having put his header over the bar in the last seconds.
Norway fans have been spotted across New York this week performing the Viking row – even in Times Square – as they hope to make it all the way to the final on July 19.
