Inside Harry and Meghan’s secret Scotland trip – ‘sailed around on vintage steam boat’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry travelled on “a vintage steam boat” during their Scotland trip last month. The couple paid a visit to a few different places last month, with stops in the UK, Portugal and, now reportedly, Scotland.
Joined by their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Sussexes reportedly stayed in isolated Tanera Mor. As well as experiencing Scotland’s stunning views, abundant wildlife and sandy bays, the couple are understood to have took their children to enjoy a relaxing boat trip around its coastline aboard Rita, a vintage Clyde puffer.
The 800-acre island is owned by 63-year-old lan Wace, who has remained close to both Harry and his older brother, Prince William.
Harry and Meghan are thought to have arrived at the island on July 8, the day after Harry lost his High Court privacy case against the publisher of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday.
It remains unknown but they are thought to have stayed on one of two islands, either the North and South Ends – with both offering extreme amounts of privacy.
Despite attempts to conceal where the family stayed, The Mail on Sunday revealed that Meghan may have accidentally revealed their location after posting 12 photos on her personal Instagram account, under the post titled “Summer Holiday”.
Included in Meghan’s post was a picture of hills and water – thought to be from their visit to Scotland.
As well as Scotland, the family travelled to the UK. The family met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House on July 10.
It was the King’s first in-person meeting with his two youngest grandchildren since 2022.
The family also spent some time in Portugal last month, with them reportedly choosing Portugal as it is a place that Archie and Lilibet “can just be kids”.
