Georgina Rodriguez reveals what Cristiano Ronaldo told her in emotional conversation over body shaming trolls
GEORGINA RODRIGUEZ has revealed the touching line Cristiano Ronaldo told her as she opened up to him about vile trolls body-shaming her.
Ronaldo and Georgina got engaged last year and are due to be wed in Madeira this weekend.
However, dating one of the most high-profile athletes in the world comes with a high degree of scrutiny both professionally and from fans.
And unfortunately, far too often that scrutiny can turn into outright hate and trolling.
That is exactly what Georgina, 32, has had the misfortune of experiencing, revealing as such in a heartfelt post on her Instagram.
In the emotional post, the internet personality and model revealed what Ronaldo, 41, had said to reassure her.
She said: “I was talking about it with Cris and I told him, ‘I’m worried that they’re calling me fat now, because I make a living from my image’.
“And he replied, ‘You don’t live off your image. You live off who you are. A perfect woman. Beautiful, with a great body, a mother, a good person, successful, and who lives life with love. What more could you want? It’s normal to be envied’.
“Sometimes we all need someone to remind us what truly matters.”
Georgina and Ronaldo first met in 2016.
She raises all five of his children under one roof.
Alana Martina, 8, and Bella Esmeralda, 4, are biologically hers.
The identity of Cristiano Jr’s biological mother has been kept a secret, while twins Eva Maria and Mateo, both 9, were born via surrogacy.
The sixth child, Bella Esmeralda’s twin Angel, tragically died during childbirth in 2022.
Hitting out at the body-shaming trolls, she said: “My body will change, as all women’s bodies do. And I hope it continues to do so for many years, because that will mean I’m still alive.
“I’m the mother of six wonderful children, three of whom are girls who will one day be great women.
“And if there’s one thing I want to teach them – along with Cris, whom I’m deeply proud of for the values he embodies as a father and as a man – it’s that a person’s worth can never depend on their physical appearance or the opinions of strangers.
“These past few days I’ve seen all kinds of comments about some photos of me on a boat. Some people are commenting on my body, others are defending me.”
She added: “The funny thing is, this happens every summer. Every year my body makes the news again.
“And then I wonder… where is the standard? Who decides what the ‘right’ body is? Do we really still think happiness has a size?
“I love my curves. I love the freedom to live in the body I choose. In the body that supports me, that has allowed me to embrace, create life, fall, and get back up.
“A body that deserves respect, love, and gratitude in all its versions.”
