Tipping Point viewers were left unimpressed during Thursday’s episode after a series of questions they considered far too easy prompted a wave of complaints on social media.
Host Ben Shephard found himself at the centre of the reaction after contestants were asked questions including where Australians come from and which fruit is used to make lemonade.
The ITV quiz show featured Taz, Hilary, Jo and Gordon, who took on the famous counter machine with hopes of winning the £10,000 jackpot.
But for some viewers, it was the questions rather than the gameplay that stole the show.

‘Where Do Australians Come From?’
Early in the episode, Ben asked the contestants:
“A person described as Australian would come from or reside in which country?”
Jo was first to answer, correctly saying: “Australia.”
Just moments earlier, she had also answered another seemingly straightforward question.
Ben asked which word is formed by combining “mock” and “cocktail” to describe a non-alcoholic drink.
Again, Jo immediately supplied the correct answer: “Mocktail.”
Viewers were also left baffled by another question asking which citrus fruit is used to make lemonade.
The questions quickly became a talking point on Twitter, with some fans joking that the episode was testing contestants on knowledge they considered obvious.

One viewer wrote: “Someone described as Australian comes from which country? I know that #TippingPoint isn’t exactly Mastermind but that Q takes the p*.”**

A third viewer simply asked: “What kind of dumb question was that #tippingpoint.”
Others joined in with similar reactions.
“Even I knew that!” one person joked.
Another wrote: “They keep coming… Which citrus fruit is used to make lemonade? Hmm, tricky #TippingPoint.”
Someone else quipped: “Ffs, she was never gonna get that wrong ‘where do Australians come from’ #TippingPoint.”
Another viewer questioned: “What fruit is used to make LEMONade?!”
One more described it as: “Daytime TV at its most challenging.”
The reaction continued, with another viewer writing: “What fruit is used to make lemonade? Oh do f* off ITV #tippingpoint.”**
Taz Reaches the Final
Despite the viewers’ complaints about the questions, the competition continued, eventually leaving Taz and Gordon as the final two contestants.
Taz came out on top and earned the chance to face the machine alone in the final.
Before the last questions, he told Ben that winning would allow him to marry his partner.
“There’s a lot riding in this,” Ben told him as the final stage began.
However, Taz made a few mistakes and eventually reached the final category: science.
Unfortunately, he answered the final question incorrectly.
With £2,200 in the bank, Taz chose not to gamble and instead walked away with the money.
While Taz secured a respectable prize, it was the surprisingly simple questions earlier in the episode that had some Tipping Point viewers talking long after the show ended.
