The Chase viewers were left outraged after a 22-year-old contestant delivered what they considered a brilliant performance in the final round — only to see her team narrowly defeated by the Chaser.
The drama unfolded during the ITV quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh, when Candice reached the Final Chase alongside teammates John and Euka.
The young student played a major role in the team’s impressive performance, correctly answering 10 of the 15 questions the team managed to get right.
But despite their efforts, the team ultimately fell short against Anne Hegerty, who caught them with just 13 seconds remaining.
