Before he could take his turn, he needed to answer the final question correctly.
Ben asked: “Which team won the 2019 Super Bowl by a score of 13-3?”
Clive gave the correct answer: New England Patriots.
That secured his opportunity to play for the jackpot, and what happened next left both the contestant and Ben struggling to contain their emotions.
After the golden jackpot counter was released, Ben exclaimed: “Clive, you’ve done it! I can’t believe you have done it!”
A stunned Clive replied: “I am knocked over! Thank you so much!”
Ben then reflected on how rarely he had witnessed such a moment during his time presenting the programme.
“Clive, I have stood in front of this machine over a thousand times,” he said. “The only time that has happened was when it was on a tray that didn’t get taken! You have won £20,000, Clive!”
Clive admitted that he was becoming emotional.
“I am welling up,” he said.

Under pressure to win more counters, Malik was asked to name the famous Liverpool band from the 1960s that had numerous number-one hits.
He failed to identify The Beatles.
His next mistake proved even more eye-catching.
When Ben asked him for the capital of Greece, Malik answered “Rome”, rather than Athens.
The errors quickly became a talking point on X.

Rather than risk losing her winnings, Steph decided not to gamble the money in the final stage.
She was on maternity leave and explained that she hoped to use the money towards a new car, as she would no longer have access to her company car when she returned to work.
Even after deciding to keep her £3,200, Steph was given the chance to play the final three counters simply to see what might have happened.
When it became clear that she could not have reached the jackpot, she celebrated the experience instead.
“I’ve had an amazing time, thank you, Ben!” she told the presenter.
Ben also pointed out that had Steph chosen to gamble, she could have lost the money she had already secured.
In the end, she opted for the safer choice and left Tipping Point with her £3,200 winnings intact.
