Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant was caught on video slapping a teenager’s phone out of his hand and forcefully throwing it to the ground during a heated confrontation in Southlake, Texas, on Sunday. The newly obtained footage captures the 37-year-old former NFL wide receiver repeatedly threatening two teenagers after an alleged traffic dispute escalated into a parking lot argument.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m., when Bryant confronted 19-year-old Noah Reyes and his friend, 19-year-old Terrance Avery. Bryant reportedly accused the pair of street racing near his vehicle on a nearby roadway and alleged that Reyes had threatened to shoot him after he challenged their driving.

Video Shows Bryant Knocking Phone to the Ground
The footage shows Bryant shouting at Avery to retrieve his friend, saying, “Get your partner before I break him down.”
When Reyes pulled out his phone, apparently to record the confrontation, Bryant immediately slapped it out of the teenager’s hand.
“I’m not playing with you,” Bryant warned.

Bryant then picked up the phone and threw it forcefully onto the pavement, despite Avery pleading with him not to break the device. After Reyes recovered his phone, the video appears to show Bryant taking another swing at it.
The confrontation continued for several minutes, with Bryant repeatedly getting close to Reyes and directing insults and threats at him.
“I’m fitting to f—k these little motherf—kers up,” Bryant could be heard shouting in the recording. “Like, real talk.”
At another point, he threatened to “break you down,” using an additional racial slur as the argument intensified.

The video also captures Bryant repeatedly insisting that he did not care about the law.
“You think I give a f—k about that law?” he said, gesturing toward what appeared to be security cameras around the parking lot.
“No, I don’t. Not at all. Because we’re going to get them cameras and see who looks like an idiot.”
Police eventually arrived at the scene. In the footage, an officer appears to draw a firearm shortly after arriving and orders Bryant to get on the ground.

The Southlake Police Department later explained that officers approached the scene with their weapons drawn because of reports that multiple people were involved in the altercation and that a weapon might be present.
“Based on that information, officers drew their firearms upon arrival as a precaution to address any potential threats and ensure the safety of everyone at the scene,” a department spokesperson said in a statement provided to The Post on Monday.
“Several individuals were temporarily detained as part of the investigation. No firearms were recovered at the scene.”

Bryant Receives Misdemeanor Assault Citation
According to police, the confrontation began as a traffic incident near Kimball Avenue, where Bryant, identified by his full name, Desmond Bryant, reported that another motorist had cut him off.
Both parties subsequently entered the parking lot, where an argument broke out and the alleged assault took place.
Following the investigation, Bryant was issued a citation for assault by contact, a Class C misdemeanor, and released at the scene.
Reyes told The Post that he suffered a hand injury during the incident and intends to sue Bryant.
Bryant, however, has offered a different account of the confrontation. Speaking to OutKick, the former NFL star maintained that he was acting in self-defense. He also alleged that police pointed a gun at him in front of his daughters during the incident.
Former NFL Star Due in Court in November
Bryant, 37, is scheduled to appear in court on November 20 to address the assault citation.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection, he made his name as a standout wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. The parking lot confrontation has now placed the former NFL star at the centre of a police investigation, with Reyes alleging that he was injured and planning legal action.
The upcoming court appearance will give Bryant an opportunity to address the misdemeanor citation as the dispute moves into the legal process.
