Paul Sinha left The Chase host Bradley Walsh genuinely stunned after revealing just how much time he spends preparing for the quiz show.
During a recent episode, two contestants managed to make it through to the Final Chase, only to face Sinha, better known as “The Sinnerman.” But one particular question caught Walsh’s attention after Sinha produced an impressively quick answer.
The question asked which decade legendary actress Betty White was born in.
Sinha appeared to know the answer almost instantly, prompting Walsh to question how he had worked it out so quickly.

After Sinha had beaten the two contestants, Walsh brought up the Betty White question.
“I think an exceptional answer on your side there was, ‘In what decade was the actress Betty White born?’” Walsh said.
“To work that out at speed is amazing.”
Sinha explained that he already knew roughly how old White was.
“Well, I knew she was in her nineties,” he replied.
But there was more to his quick response than simply remembering one fact.
“That’s the thing,” Sinha continued. “We revise all sorts of stuff and the next thing you know, it comes up.”
His answer prompted Walsh to ask a much bigger question: just how much revision does a Chaser actually have to do?

Sinha’s answer immediately caught the host off guard.
“Three to four a day,” he said.
Walsh could barely believe what he had heard.
“Seriously!” the presenter responded.
The exchange offered viewers a glimpse into the preparation behind the Chasers’ seemingly extraordinary ability to recall facts under intense pressure.
For contestants, The Chase may look like a test of general knowledge and quick thinking. But Sinha’s admission highlighted the amount of deliberate preparation that goes into maintaining such a vast store of information.

As one of the show’s Chasers, Sinha is regularly required to answer questions covering an enormous range of subjects.
That can mean everything from history and entertainment to geography, science, sport and popular culture.
The Betty White question demonstrated how knowledge built up through repeated revision can become useful when an obscure-looking question appears on screen.
For Walsh, however, the revelation that Sinha studies three to four hours a day was clearly unexpected.
And after hearing exactly how much preparation goes into staying at the top of his game, the host was left with just one reaction: “Seriously!”
