Man, 35, Shot Dead Inside North London Pub as Police Release Mysterious CCTV Image of Person Who May Be Wearing a Disguise

Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man inside a north London pub have released CCTV images of a mysterious individual they urgently want to identify. But one unusual detail has made the police appeal particularly intriguing — officers cannot yet determine whether the person pictured is male, female or possibly wearing a disguise.
The victim was shot at a pub on Hertford Road in Enfield at approximately 9.30pm on Monday, October 19.
Despite desperate efforts by emergency services, he died at the scene.
A Deadly Shooting Inside a London Pub
Metropolitan Police officers were called to reports of gunfire at the pub on Monday evening.
Armed police, London Ambulance Service crews and London’s Air Ambulance responded to the incident.
Paramedics treated the 35-year-old man for gunshot wounds, but were unable to save him.
His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
A crime scene remained in place as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the killing.
CCTV Image Reveals an Unusual Mystery

As detectives reviewed surveillance footage, they identified a person they believe could assist with their investigation.
Police subsequently released images showing the individual and appealed for help establishing their identity.
What makes the footage particularly unusual is that investigators cannot yet tell whether the person is a man or a woman — or whether their appearance has been deliberately altered by a disguise.
Officers have not publicly confirmed the individual’s identity or established that the person was responsible for the shooting.
Detectives are urging anyone who recognises them to contact police.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
Detectives Search for Crucial Evidence

Forensic specialists have been examining the pub and surrounding area for evidence.
Officers are also conducting house-to-house inquiries and reviewing available CCTV footage.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the murder investigation, expressed sympathy for the victim’s family and friends.
He appealed particularly to anyone who was nearby when the shooting occurred or who may have captured relevant footage.
Police believe recordings from doorbell cameras, vehicle dashcams or mobile phones could help establish the movements of those involved.
Police Increase Patrols Following Killing
The fatal shooting has prompted concern among residents in the Enfield area.
Chief Superintendent Anna McCartney said additional police patrols had been deployed following the incident.
She emphasised that detectives were working urgently to identify those responsible and establish exactly what happened.
For investigators, the newly released CCTV image represents an important potential lead in a murder case that remains unsolved.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including any possible motive, have not yet been publicly established.
