BRADLEY WALSH THOUGHT HE WAS HOSTING A NORMAL EPISODE OF THE CHASE — UNTIL FOUR CONTESTANTS STARTED GETTING IMPOSSIBLY HARD QUESTIONS RIGHT AND THEIR PRIZE POT SUDDENLY HIT A STAGGERING £200,000. THEN BRADLEY STOPPED AND ASKED THE QUESTION ANT AND DEC HAD BEEN WAITING FOR.

Bradley Walsh has endured plenty of unexpected moments on The Chase, but Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly once managed to turn an entire episode into an elaborate setup without the presenter knowing what was happening.

The prank, created for Saturday Night Takeaway, saw Ant and Dec secretly take control behind the scenes while Bradley attempted to host what he believed was a normal edition of the ITV quiz.

Their plan was to manufacture an extraordinary cash-builder — and watch how long it took Bradley to realise something was seriously wrong.

Contestants Suddenly Know Everything

Ant and Dec arranged for the contestants to know the questions and correct answers in advance, allowing them to respond to even extremely difficult questions with remarkable ease.

Bradley’s confusion grew as the round continued.

At one point, however, a contestant who knew an answer forgot to press her buzzer. Bradley slumped against his desk in frustration as the carefully orchestrated chaos unfolded around him.

Meanwhile, Jenny Ryan, aka The Vixen, struggled to contain her laughter.

But the biggest shock came when the four contestants accumulated an astonishing £200,000.

Bradley could barely believe the figure, pointing out that the show had never played for that amount before.

Bradley Begins to Suspect Something Is Wrong

As the increasingly bizarre game continued, Bradley finally began questioning whether someone was playing a trick on him.

His suspicions were justified — Ant and Dec were controlling the madness from behind the scenes.

The teaser then showed the prank escalating even further, with the pair appearing dressed as firefighters and pressing a red button that triggered a loud noise, making Bradley visibly flinch.

The stunt marked another chapter in Ant and Dec’s long-running history of targeting Bradley.

They had previously pranked him around 15 years earlier during his time on Coronation Street, arranging for him to appear as a speaker at a completely fake event for a fictional company called “TKWay Plastics.”

This time, however, they went considerably bigger — infiltrating Bradley’s own quiz show and engineering a record-breaking-looking game right in front of him before he realised he had become the victim all over again.
