The Chase contestant stuns Bradley Walsh with extraordinary move that makes show history

Bradley Walsh was left lost for words after a contestant delivered a remarkable performance on ITV’s The Chase, pulling off a feat that few viewers could have anticipated.

The popular quiz show returned with four fresh contestants, all determined to outsmart the Chaser and walk away with a substantial cash prize.

Bradley, 62 introduced contestants Miriam, Fintan, Ewan and Caroline to the stage.

The contestants faced Mark “The Beast” Labbett, who was ready to put their general knowledge to the test.

During his round, Fintan was asked a question that appeared to leave him completely stumped. Unable to think of an answer, he simply replied, “Pass.”

In an extraordinary twist, that turned out to be the correct answer, leaving both Fintan and host Bradley Walsh visibly astonished.

Bradley could barely contain his disbelief as he realised the contestant had achieved something unprecedented on the programme.

“It’s happened, it’s actually happened,” he exclaimed, before repeating his amazement that the word “pass” had finally turned out to be a legitimate answer.

The presenter then jokingly called Fintan a “jammy so-and-so,” clearly amused by the remarkable coincidence.

Unfortunately, the unexpected moment of luck was not enough to secure Fintan’s place in the competition. Despite his efforts, he was eventually defeated by the Chaser and eliminated from the show.
