According to a recent interview with The New York Times, the Rolling Stones frontman shared a brutally honest view of aging, saying there is “nothing good” about getting older and opening up about the changes he has experienced both physically and mentally after decades in the spotlight.

“It’s not particularly pleasant,” he told ‘the New York Times’

Mick Jagger is not too keen on aging.

On July 11, the Rolling Stones frontman spoke to the New York Times’ The Interview and offered his unfiltered take on getting older.

“There’s nothing good about it,” said Jagger, 82, whose youngest child is 9-year-old son Deveraux, whom he shares with girlfriend Melanie Hamrick.

“Nothing. You don’t get wisdom. You forget everything. Forgot all my wisdom.”

He noted that he might “have had a couple of pearls,” but he’s “forgotten what they are.”

“It’s not particularly pleasant and, of course, you can’t do things as quickly as you want to, and physically you can’t do things that you would like to do,” added Jagger. “You can still do them, but you have to be more careful.”

The “Start Me Up” hitmaker also spoke about how his longtime fame has affected his relationship with the world.

“Obviously, it’s not normal,” said Jagger. “It is not like most people’s lives. It does affect you. You can become disassociated. From other people.”

To remain grounded, he said, “you go out and walk on the street on your own and do normal things.”

Jagger and bandmate Keith Richards recently spoke to Billboard about using artificial intelligence in music after using deepfake technology to show their younger selves in the music video for “In the Stars.”

“We had a lot of fun with that,” said Jagger. “It’s only the faces of the musicians that are different. They’re not fake people in a fake room; they’re all in a room, really playing together.”

He added: “The musicians are real musicians that look a bit like The Rolling Stones in 1968. The only thing was the faces.”

Richards, 82, said the visual was the band’s “brushing with AI.”

“I said, ‘Very nice. I wish I looked like that now.’ But maybe that’s what they’re good for — music videos. Put it in its proper place,” the guitarist and songwriter added.
