A young contestant impressed everyone with her performance, yet one of Bradley’s remarks immediately sparked backlash, with fans accusing the host of being patronising instead of supportive.

THE Chase host Bradley Walsh was criticised for “patronising” youngest contestant Paige in Monday’s episode.

The Chase viewers hit out Bradley, 61, during Monday’s instalment of the ITV quiz show.

Youngest contestant Paige was up against Mark Labbett aka The Beast.

However, viewers accused the presenter of “patronising” Paige.

She accumulated a decent £4,000 in her cash builder.

Bradley told her “well played – well done, great job.”

“Are you pleased?” said Brad, adding: “Yes? I should say so. Very good indeed. Brilliant.”

But fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns over the host’s tone.

One said:  “#TheChase what age got to do with anything? That was rude Brad.”

A second wrote: “Her age doesn’t mean she don’t know f*** all Bradley!!!! #thechase”

A third penned: “Brad patronising young people KLAXON #TheChase.”
