A VIRAL video of teens’ disgusting behaviour on a school trip sparked a diplomatic incident as embassy officials had to beg for forgiveness.
The Italian school group were caught on camera insulting a Thai woman who asked them to keep the noise down on a train in Bangkok.
Footage shared social media showed the woman confronting the rowdy group on the BTS SkyTrain, telling them: “In Thailand, we don’t scream.”
When asked where they were from, the teens mockingly replied: Thailand before calling her a “B****”.
One teenager was seen raising a middle finger at the woman as the rest laughed and continued making noise.
The shocking exchange escalated further when a teacher sarcastically told her: “Sorry for bringing money to your country.”
The teacher then told the woman to “shut the f*** up” and insisted the group were “just children”.
The explosive clip racked up 16million views online, triggering a furious backlash.
One social media user blasted: “Bringing money, no one complains, but please bring some manners too.”
Another fumed: “Bringing money to Thailand doesn’t make you a god.”
The online fury quickly snowballed, with users identifying the teenagers and flooding their schools’ social media pages with criticism.
Others went even further by waiting outside the hotel where the group were staying and demanding an apology.
As the international storm intensified, the Italian embassy in Bangkok released a cringeworthy video showing three adults and one teenager bowing as they begged for forgiveness.
After bowing, a male adult said: “We are the leaders of the Italian group that went viral.
“We are making this video to apologise to the Thai people and Thai culture.
“We wanted to shoot this video yesterday, but we were worried and scared so we postponed. That was probably the wrong decision.
“We wanted to ask for forgiveness for our behaviour to the Thai people and the country.”
A woman said: “I’m personally extremely sorry for what has happened.
“I know that money can’t buy respect and I’m really sorry for all the people offended and for having offended Thai culture and Thai people.”
A teenage boy added: “I’m very sorry for everyone in Thailand because of what I did on the BTS train. It was wrong. I’m very sorry for my behaviour.”
A second adult woman said: “We do not accept this behaviour.
“The students are returning to Italy as soon as possible, and we will also try to teach our group again to strictly respect that culture.
“Thank you for welcoming us and we humbly ask for your forgiveness.”
